Happy 40th Anniversary!

40 Years ago you said "I Do". You were young and in love (and look how cute you guys were!)

In your wildest dreams did you think that 40 years from then you would have 3 grown children?

6 beautiful grandchildren with one more on the way?

A daughter-in-law and son-in-law that you love like your own?

I think the 40 years have fared well for you! There have been hurdles but most of all there have been many blessings. We thought for your anniversary we would surround you with pictures of those that you love and who love you so much in return.
Happy 40th Anniversary Mom and Dad! I for one would love to see 40 more years, filled with good health, laughter, and lots of love.
We love you!

His Catholic Education Is Already Paying Off

Aiden and I were having our morning cuddle on the couch when he says to me, completely out of the blue, "If someone you love dies, and you want to be with them, then you have to die too." Of course hearing this makes me heart skip a beat and make me a little sick to my stomach. I explained to him that if someone you love dies, even though they are in heaven, you can still talk to them and they can hear you. I also explained that you didn't want to die too because there are too many people that would miss you and someday you will be together in heaven. Then....... I finally got where he was going with this. He replied "But Jesus is dead. And God is always with us even when we are alone and lost. He always loves us and we can always talk to him" My heart just melted hearing him tell me all of his. He IS listening in preschool and what he hears really does stick with him. There is hope for my little wild man.

My Furry Babes

I just love seeing them hang out together. They both love getting fresh air and sunshine.
Grayson is on a slow road to recovery after his urethral block and urinary tract infection. Blockage taken care of, infection lingers on, we're on week 3 of meds for him. I want my healthy playful kitty back.

Aiden's First Day of School

Today Aiden finally had his first day of school. It was hard for him to see his big brothers go off to school last week and know he still had to wait to go himself. Today was the big day and he was so excited. He was ready to go long before me!

I managed to get a picture of him with his big brothers before they left for school.

When we got to school, he hung up his bag, turned his name around to show he was here and found his name at the table. He went right to work drawing some pretty flowers for me and chatted with his friend Gabe. They share a love of Transformers and other action figures.

I snapped a pic on the way into his classroom also. My baby is such a big guy now.

3 mornings per week to myself. Oh what will I do?? :)
I'm excited to pick him up though and hear all about his first day!

Last Day of Summer Vacation

The last day of summer vacation was overcast and a bit cooler than usual which was nice. We met Beth and the kiddos at Bob Mays Park and walked down to the creek for some fun. The water felt so good and the kids had a great time.

Goofing around.

Sand surfing

Waterfall surfing.
Ellie enjoyed finding pretty leaves for all of us.
Ty and Aiden looked for "treasures" in the water.
Just had to snap a pic of these cute little feet and calves. Love this girl.
The boys explored all over and love all of the little waterfalls.
We attempted a picture of all 6 cousins. This was my best one, Beth. What have you got? LOL
Noah looked so sad and forlorn. I'm a horrible mommy for saying he wasn't old enough to go down by the more dangerous ledge.
Check out the green heart shape rock Drew found. Pretty awesome.
I love how you can see some of her reflection in the water.
These two dudes crack me up. They are both turning 5 together next month!
Creek wading at its finest.
Surfing the wave?

We spent a couple of hours down there and then went up to the playground and played. We all worked up an appetite so on the way home the boys and I got some lunch at KFC. What a fun day to end summer vacation.

Drew & Noah's Triathlon

Last Saturday was the 3rd annual Tri-ing to Help Triathlon put on by the Quincy Multisport Club. For the 3rd year, Todd was race director and I was so proud of him and his hard work to put this race together to raise money for a good cause. This year the money was raised for His Ranch over in Taylor, MO. The couple that owns this ranch raced for the first time last year and their whole family raced this year. This is a picture taken after the adults race and before the kids race with all the racers.

Grant, Noah, Ben, and Drew getting ready for the race.
Drew diving in.

Drew crossing the finish line! He got 1st place in his age group and 2nd place overall. Great job!
Noah crossing the finish line. He got second place in his age group. Way to go Noah!
Drew and Noah with some of their "fans". Thanks to both sets of Grandparents and to Uncle Scott for coming to cheer our little racers on!
First day of school pictures posted below! I'm slowly getting caught up on my blog posts. Tomorrow......how we spent our last day of summer vacation.

1st Day of School

Today is Drew and Noah's 1st Day of School.
Drew humored me for a few pictures even though he informed me he was not a baby anymore and shouldn't have to do this. Thanks Drew. :)
This year Drew is in 6th grade, Noah is in 3rd grade, and on Monday Aiden starts 4 yr old preschool.

Yes, Aiden is wearing fleece mismatched PJ's. He likes to put them on around the house, even on days when it's 90+ degrees out. He can't understand why I won't let him wear them to bed. That's another story for another day. :)

Colorado Favorites (Part 3)

Today I uploaded all of my scenic pictures. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves because words don't do them justice. And if you think the pictures are pretty, it doesn't even begin to compare to what it looks like in person. The Rocky Mountains never fail to leave me speechless and in complete awe of their beauty.

Sprague Lake

Stanley Hotel-coolest tour ever!
Alberta Falls

Dream Lake with Hallet's Peak in the background.
See that little lake nestled back in there? I just stared at it wondering if anyone had ever set foot in it before.
LOVE seeing the elk everywhere.
The trees, the smell of pine. mmmmm

So many beautiful flowers. We have pictures of every kind we saw.
Love how the moon is perfectly lined up about the tree.
